5 reasons to start on a plant based diet:
Plant-based diets have become the new "diet craze" and every one knows someone who is claiming "life changing" results from converting from a diet filled with animal products galore to plates filled with foods we can grow in our back yard, on our balconies, even on the kitchen window sill.
Much research has been done, and thousands of studies have shown the positive effects this has on the human body and how it functions.
Now, contrary to popular belief, going plant-based doesn't mean you have to completely cut out meat or dairy altogether.
It's original conception was based around reducing your daily intake of animal products, and eating meat only a few times a week, reducing toxic build ups in the body and reducing our negative impact on the planet. (imagine the change we would make if everyone made small reductions in animal product consumption!)
The good news for all you meat lovers out there is you can follow a predominately plant-based diet and still enjoy a juicy steak once or twice a week, whilst gaining all the health benefits of predominately plant-based meals.
